Many people experience painful feet during the day, they wear shoes without the right support. Pain in the heel and feet are two things that everyone wants to avoid. I share the same opinion. Hi! Let me introduce myself first. My name is Anouk and I am 35 years old. I currently live in beautiful Utrecht together with my lovely boyfriend Jasper, we have lived here for more than 10 years and I am loving this city. I like to spend my leisure time with friends and family. Or going on adventure and take a walk in the woods.
Going out with my Blundstones
During the week I try to exercise as much as possible. My other goal is to make at least 10.000 steps a day. Unfortunately, that does not always work. Someone who motivates me (and maybe forces me as well) to go outside is our dog Beau. Beau helps me to find a healthier lifestyle. Besides walking the dog, I also really have some relaxing time while reading a good book. After a long day at work it feels so good to just take of my shoes, lift my feet and have a good cup of tea while laying on the sofa. At such moments time flies. Since we live in our small apartment in the heart of Utrecht. Our walks with Beau are often not surrounded by a green environment, more residential areas and streets. I thought that this needs to change. So, I decided to go to the forest at least 2 or 3 times a week. I make a long walk with Jasper and Beau. I must tell you, it is amazing. The beautiful nature, green surroundings and the sun.
Time to relax
Most of the time we take the car when we go to the forest. The forest is not close. There are different forests in the Province of Utrecht. Hours pass when we are in the forest for a long walk. We often arrive there before 9 A.M. and go back sometimes around 1 P.M. That seems like a long time but we love a long walk and Beau also enjoys a good time. We love to escape from the busy city life every now and then.
How do you keep up with that?
I hear you thinking. “if you go out for a walk that often, which shoes do you wear?”. Exactly, that was my struggle in the beginning as well. I quickly suffer from sore feet and with all that mud you want shoes which offer you good support. I always find it important that the shoes can be cleaned easily and that I still look fashionable. I got you!
I got you! I notice very quick if I am not wearing the right shoes. For example, I went into town together with a friend for a long day and after a few hours my feet started to hurt. There was even a time when I suffered from this more often and therefore also suffered from heel spurs. Heel spur is a calcification of the tendon plate on the heel bone. This causes a lot of pain, it’s terrible. Since I really like to go hiking and go out, I had to get rid of it as soon as possible.
Advise and tricks
I quickly found an article on the internet, they said that taking a rest is very important. It also stated that on average women suffer from it a lot more than men. Regardless, I wasn’t going to have my heel pain forever. Fortunately, heel spurs are often treatable and can be resolved in a few weeks to months. In my case, my shoes were not the right ones. They were not providing the right support. Time for change! Since i wear Blundstone i walk 10 km without any pain.
The brand Blundstone
I started searching for the right shoes. After browsing the internet for a while, I came across a pair of Blundstone. With the boots from Blundstone you walk comfortable all day long. Each model is characterized by a PU sole with integrated absorption material. These boots give me the support I need and they are also very fashionable. Conclusion: Blundstone can no longer be ignored. Buy those Blundstones! You definitely won’t regret it. Painful feet are something from the past.
